As you know, the 2021 storm season is well underway with numerous events occurring almost daily across the country. We have been working with several counties and local municipalities in your area to incorporate high resolution aerial imagery into their disaster response and recovery plans.

If you haven’t already, take a look at the recent imagery we captured for one Georgia county that was impacted by March tornadoes to see the types of insights that can be drawn from post-disaster imagery. 

 We also recently interviewed the emergency management director and GIS coordinator in Woodford County, KY, about their decision to order a flight to capture the crest of the Kentucky river during a major flood stage. The imagery helped them roll up their damage assessment data to the governor a full 24 hours earlier than would have otherwise been possible.
